IIT JEE Exam Eligibility Criteria 2023

  • The candidate must be an Indian citizen.
  • The minimum age limit for the JEE Main exam 2023 is 17 years as on December 31 of the year in which admission is sought.
  • There is no upper age limit to appear for JEE Main.
  • The candidate must have passed Class 12th or equivalent examination in 2021 or 2022 or should be appearing in the same in 2023.

  • JEE Main is a computer-based test (CBT) and will be conducted in multiple sessions.
  • The exam consists of two papers, Paper-1 for B.E./B.Tech courses and Paper-2 for B.Arch/B.Planning courses.
  • Paper-1 consists of 90 objective-type questions from Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, each carrying equal marks. The total duration of the paper is 3 hours.
