CAT it is basically (COMMON ADMISSION TEST)…. which is taken in India for the students who wants to join for a management course.,, such as M.B.A which is (MASTER OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION).  IT is toughest exam of India. as it includes various abilities of a person such as….:-

  1. Data Interpretation
  2. Verbal Ability
  3. logical reasoning
  4. IQ level

CAT criteria is very simple as it conducted an common test for all students having various levels of exam. CAT is started by IIMs (Indian Institute Of Management) . For admission in M.B.A  an students have to appear in this test for top level colleges of India


Various Features Of CAT is as Following:-



IIMS(Indian Institute OF Management) conducted this test for admission as a pre-requisite in various top level institute and colleges of India. and also for the admission in IITs(Indian Institute Of Technology) and FMS(faculty of Management Studies) and last IISc(Indian  Institute of  Science).

Moreover many non-IIMs Institutes are now using cat results score for admission in there institute also. They are registering to avail cat score for there admission process.

This test conducted online every year in various exam centers. The test is schedule in the month between October-December.

Exam Duration:-

It is conducted online in two different section. each sections are as follow:-

a) Quantitative Ability & Data Interpretation.

b) Verbal Ability & Logical Reasoning.

Both these sections have 30 questions for the duration of 70 minutes.



Scoring in CAT in based upon for types:


a) RAW Scoring

b)Scale Scoring

In raw scoring calculation as no. of questions correct, incorrectly and left by an candidate.,,,For every right answer an candidate is rewarded by 3 marks each and 1 mark is deducted for each wrong answer given by the candidate.

For the question which are left by candidates are never been considered in scoring. so NO marks are given for left questions.

Then each raw scores are equating on a common scale or metric to ensure appropriate interpretation of scores. which is basically scaling.

An candidate are provided with three scaled score.. which are:-

  • Overall scaled scores
  • Two separated scaled scores

Ranking are provided for all each n every three scaled scores. for overall scaled score and also for two sectional scores.
